Ray’s way to improve your swimming technique

Hi everyone, it’s Ray here!

These videos are for those in my adult swimming classes, or anyone who wants to improve their technique.

It’s a 25 minute video split into five 5 minute clips. I’ll be honest the first two mainly talk about Alexander Popov and his world record swim, but the other three have some key technique points that everyone could use, not just competitive swimmers but beginners too. I first watched this video when I was coming to the end of my competitive swimming, a new coach came in and changed our styles to emulate the drills that are shown.

In two months I had managed to beat my personal best for 100m front-crawl by 2 seconds, which in swimming is a lot (also my pb was set 6 years prior to that). I teach the 3 r’s to all my swimmers in levels 4 and above, and I am aware that I am continuously telling my swimmers to roll in front-crawl but this is the reason why…
